I know Dan built Judge273s motor and I've been meaning to ask Mike if that is indeed his motor. Not to many M-22 455HO 71 GT-37s out there so the odds are good.

Same issue also has a spread on my buddies 62GP. He's stoked even though it took 8 years for the pics and article to make it into PE.

That's mine, and it has a nice picture of it in Dan's garge on the stand. He painted the intake, and touched it up after a great dyno run.

Updates are few since Dan had shoulder surgery a few months ago. But, he is getting back at it soon. Should have rolling frame with motor, etc. to receive body again by end of summer, and the body will be painted this winter with full assembly ready next season.

Here is my handy work on a fat formie wheel from a PYer, and I restored.

Nice article Mike. I can not wait to see that car done. It will run very well with those dyno numbers. Dan dyno'd my friend Ron's '71 GTO 455 HO motor last year and ran it at the fall PS drags with some major carb issues and again this June at Martin at the F.A.S.T. / factory stock race. We are getting a handle on the car finally with Mark's help. At least now we are running in the 12.70's @ 108 in 3,000+ ft air so hopefully this fall we can lay down some impressive numbers. We run an automatic and have run the hop stops and the car does not like them so we took them off so hopefully in the fall we will see better 60ft. times.

I'll second that. Let us know what brand of flexible epoxy you used. I've got an IC wheel I would like to try it on.

I used 3M two part flexible/sandable filler, and SEM Landau black. It worked well!

Hey guys, I may have the chance to pick up a real nice numbers matching 72 HO formula 4 speed car and was wondering what these cars are worth these days?

Here's some inconclusive guess work. It is whatever an individual is willing to pay for a particular car. First...condition is always the deciding factor. If it is in great condition, little or no rust, and is all there, you're batting a 1000. Remember it may cost between 25-40 thousand or more, to restore it to show quality. A restored show quality car starts at $60,000 and goes up depending on how pristine and correct the restoration is. If show quality isn't an issue and the car already presents itself well cosmetically, I would just make sure it was mechanically sound and drive it's wheels off. It is hard to find a bargain, but sometimes it happens. Put some pictures on here of it and ask some of the experts here what they think it is worth before you hand over any money.

Numbers matching commands more money to the informed seller, but it also guarantees a higher value for your investment. Do your homework on this model and be sure of your facts. Knowledge is power. Spending a lot of money only to find out you've been had kinda sucks. I hope it's the real deal. Don't tarry too long if it checks out, it will be gone. I waited over a weekend to get the money for a 70 RA III 4-speed on a Friday.... on the following Monday it was gone. Sold for $8500 cash to the first buyer. I didn't dream anybody else even knew about it. "72 models are great, hope you get it.

Numbers matching can mean LOTS of different things to different folks. Correct block, intake, carburetor and distributor are TOUGH (read that - very expensive) to locate if missing.

Rear frame rail and other rot is expensive to repair.

I somewhat disagree with the above numbers that Eddie (no offense, Eddie) stated. The market is still soft, and I'd say that even a pristine, show quality, all #'s '72 HO M22 Formy wouldn't go for more than $35K to $45K in this market.

I'd agree with Lloyd's value - heck, WW5 optioned 4spd GTO's can't get that number.
