Save yourself some money and buy some repo plastic ones.

I had decided at one point that I wanted the metal ones, so I contacted Sweetmuscle and sent him $307. He shipped me two leftside bezels. I returned one and after quite a few attempts to contact him he never got back to me. I ended up with one leftside bezel for $307. Take a look under the buyer and seller feedback section he is in there quite a few times.

I ended up buying new bezels/lenses/gaskets from The Parts Place (only because there lenses have the correct markings) for $299.

I think the ebay user was "muscle car depot". A search yielded their web site and catalog.

http://musclecardepot.com/GTO/exterior68.htm

part # TLB69P, 69 tail-light bezels (die cast metal), $265/pr.

No idea if these people and sweetmuscle are one in the same or not.

I also had a negative experience with Yehiel (Eric) (Sweetmuscle). I ordered a set of metal tail light bezels from him and one showed up badly scratched. They were well packaged and the packaging wasn't damaged anywhere, so it was obvious he had shipped them with the scratches. His solution...."sandpaper and paint". He wouldn't send me another one or give me a refund. (and of course I was going to send back the scratched bezel)

I'll never forget that response. "sandpaper and paint" Yehiel, that doesn't fix scratched chrome. That made my blood boil.

Info that might help.
Glen, Is the guy that owned or still owns Muscle Car Depot. Yehiel (Eric) Sweetmuscle I believe he is just someone that was reselling the parts that he got form Glen. I believe that Glen was having some trouble at home and couldn’t sell the parts outright. I’m not sure so please don’t quote me on this. When I talked to Glen he was working on other Pontiac projects, so I never gave it any thought that he would be hard to contact. I have been trying to get a hold of him myself without any luck. I also need a set of bezels for my car, so if you get hold of Glen please let him know that more people need the bezels. I should have got a set when they came out but I really thought they would be around for a long time. I really thought PY would have offered them in their catalog but that never happened. I may have messed up.

This is the info I have:

Default Die Cast Tailight Bezels

I can't believe all the negative comments about Yehiel Arussi. I don't know him personally or anyhing like that. About 3-4 months ago I purchased some Die Cast Bezels from him. Couldn't find them any place else. Put a post on this forum and several guys recommended him to me. At the time I was in the market for Die Cast Bezels. I have a friend that has a '69 who purchased the plastic ones. He had to run seperate wires for grounds on each light!!! He said they were a real pain!! Couldn't of ask to deal with a nicer guy. I called one day to ask him about them. The line was busy. Evidently he had Caller ID. About 15 minutes later he called me back. He said he had a Pr of Die Cast Bezels available. I sent him a check and about two weeks later I recieved them in excellent shape. Sent across the country from Calif. to Central Pennsylvania. I immediately inspected them and I recieved one for the left and one for the right; with no scratches or any thing on them. Don't know what the problem is now.

For what it's worth, I have the plastic ones on my Judge and have not had any issues at all with my taillights, using the original rear lamp harness and no modifications. They look great, and I would recommend them to anyone.

Tom, I am glad to hear that you have had a good experience with SweetMuscle. Unfortantly recently some of us have not have such good luck.

Like UPC, I have no compliants over the plastic ones at all. They look great and I had no problem grounding them to the original location with original ground wire.

Here's my beef. Based on other's recommendations for his dealings with the metal tail light bezels, I responded to his post for a triple show chromed rear 1970 GTO bumper. His quote was
Quote:
475 $ nice ca bumper ....as good as it gets tripple plated also have a new reproduction for 200 $ 610-1569
http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...d.php?t=624670

When it arrived, I opened the box (taking care to put my video camera on this process for protection on condition as delivered) to find a bumper that was GREAT on the front, but with rust bubbles and rust scale all over the back side of the bumper (still in the box). I have MANY pictures. This was assuredly NOT as good as it gets and it is not worthy of my restoration.

I expressed my dissatisfaction and we agreed that he would find a new buyer then refund my money. We set a date. It came and passed. I contacted him again, he said money would be to me post haste. Nothing. I contacted him again. He offered me $150 to keep it. I declined. I gave him 30 days and he thanked me, stating something about a new job and moving, etc. I have not heard from him in three months. He will not return messages and does not post here.

I find him to be disreputable and not a man of his word. I would recommend you steer clear of dealings with him.
