Yep, I picked up a carpet kit for it, new dash bezel, and had these snazzy stripes made up to match the tires.

Default My Latest Project

Built in TX, sold in AZ, then to KS and IL, now in IN.
Originally Verdoro and Black now Black on Black. Std 400, 4 spd, Custom Wheel, AC, Rally Gauges and get this; NO PS or PB. WTH?

Doesn't hold a candle to the one above but its pretty nice.

New to me, what do you know about it? Wonder how old the pic is. Noticed that it has IV decals.

Dunno Boys, I post some of them to share them as I find them...and sure enough if I said it was a RAIV I'd prolly receive an expert "correction" something like "they NEVER built one like that....!"

But it's all good IMO. And to continue the positive vibe and karma...here's a (IIRC) '68 w a "modern hood accessory." Enjoy!

Red decals look good on a black car - nice one!

Default Aegena '68

The following are before and after pics of my '68, aegena blue GTO with teal interior.

It's a 455 (1973 Bonneville motor) with a ram-air III cam. It was built following many of the suggestions in Jim Hand's book and spec's for the ram-air III 400 motors.

Added '69 hood scoop decals for that reason and I like the decal appearance.

Thanks Ken .. the only issue is with the metal flake. I feel the particles are too small. I thought about going larger, but ended up using the stock size.

Does look pretty nice on a clean car with the sun on it though.

Ha - I'll trade you. I think my car has too much flake!

Looks great to me. You don't see that color very often - I've always been a fan of it.

Had my car photographed by a guy from the San Francisco Chronicle today. They have a little section about reader's rides that runs every couple of weeks. Sometimes their selections are questionable ('05 Scion, '86 Suzuki Samurai). When I pulled up the photographer said "Oh, now THIS is a real classic!"

I saw a very nice '68 in what appeared to be the same color, last week at a Mexican Restaurant in up-town Atlanta. It may have been black and just appeared dark blue under the street lights.
Also, it was raining cats and dogs. I really admire a guy who drives a car like that at 11pm in the rain to get a couple of tacos. I almost thought it was 1982 again!

My 69 convertible GTO, bought it from the original owner in 93 in San Antonio, apart from paint and a 69 GP 428HO with a Ram Air set up she is bone original. (good running original engine is safe on a pallet in my garage and I didn't drill holes in the original rocker moldings, bought a spare set and installed 69 Catalina front fender 428 emblems for a "stock" look, they pop in the same holes as the LeMans 350 emblems).

Original interior is completely original down to the carpet and all chrome and bright trim is untouched including rear bumper. Still has the factory softray rear window.
