Default Using automatic carpet in a manual trans car

Anybody ever tried using auto trans carpet in a four speed car? How did it fit and will the console cover any cuts if needed?

neither fit like an original, up until a few years ago they (Ames, PY etc only sold one kind of carpet for both auto and stick. I would think the only difference is the molding being shaped a bit different near the shift porch

I had an auto switched over to 4 speed and didn't change the carpet. But it was a replacement carpet for automatic put in a couple years before switching to the 4 speed and not the original carpet. Works fine.
