Guys,Someone please look at Ebay item # 250668836370. It sold on 7-25. It is what appears to be a fairly nice 69 GTO convertable that sold for 12,500.00. Red car with red interior appears to be average driver quality, 400 4-speed.Have these cars got that cheap? Is there something that I am missing?

It says convertible clone in the title. That's probably why.

WOW! Can't believe I missed that. Feel like an idiot. Only reason I watch ebay is to look at GTO's and look at the GTO parts.

They are getting pretty crafty with that. I don't think the guy mentioned once that it was a clone except in the title from what little I read. He didn't post the VIN either for me to figure out. At first I thought it was a Ram Air clone from what he said, but you don't really clone Ram Air cars.

Did you see where the only bid placed won the car?

Sounds like a steal, even for a clone.
He states in the description "The only way I can tell it is a clone is by the VIN."

You'd figure after having gone such an extensive resto, he'd put in a nicer steering wheel...

There is one FS in NC for $8,000, apart but all there and #s matching.
A 68 GTO convertible 4 speed. Hideaways. Times are tuff for some cars and some not selling period. |
