Default Are there any taller 17 inch tires?

I have 275/40-17 that are 25.6 inches tall. They are the Nitto's NT05. I like these tires but I would like to try taller side walls. Every sticky tire I see is for the 15 in rim. Anybody know of any stickys for a 17 with some sidewall?

M/T has a 295/45 but it's going to take a BFH to fit in stock wheel wells.

M&H, Falken, and Nitto (NT 450) have a 275/50 but that might be way too tall.

I think a 275/45R17 would be the perfect size, but good luck finding any.

Kuhmo has a 255/50-17 and a 285/40-17. The former is 27" and the later is 26". I'm running a 255/65-17 on my Santa Fe but it's 30" tall. There are drag radials out there in 275/50-17 and they are 27.8" tall.

I have some Y.O. 17" snowflakes I am gonna use on my 77 T.A. and found the best size for me is a combo they used on the mid 90s Corvettes, 255/45/17 on the front and 285/40/17 on the back. The fronts are 26.1" X 10" wide and the backs are 26" X 11.2" wide. I am probably gonna go with Nitto 555s, but I am pretty sure you can get them in that size combo in Cooper zeons, Kumho ecstas, and firestone firehawks too.

I went with centerline wheels. 17x9.5 with 4.5 BS out back and 17x7 with 3.5 BS up front. I went M&H 325/45/17 out back, 225/60/17 up front. I am 28" tall in the back and about 27.5 or so up front I think.

Falken, Nitto and M&H all make a 275/50-17 tire that are 27-28" tall. I run the M&H drag radials on 17"x8" rims on my car. M&H also makes several other tall drag radials for 17" and 18" wheels.
