Hello, advise......... I own a 1968 triple black GTO ragtop in stock/premium condition, I realize that it is worth the most as it sits right now but I am not planning on selling it so I want to change it to be to my liking, I installed a Bendpac HD-9 lift in my garage to help me with this project and am planning on installing Wilwood 4-piston red drilled/slotted big brake kit on the front and rear along with Foose Legend 18" wheels, my question would be when I install all of this I have a feeling that it will not sit right (height wise) and was looking for advise as to what experience anyone has had with doing this, do I need to drop the front spindles 1" or 2" (which), do I need to purchase new springs dropping entire car 1", any advise/suggestions will be greatly appreciated

For the wheels, what fits a Chevelle does not always work with a 68-69 Pontiac in the front. Chevelles have larger front wheel openings and different internal structures in the rear.

What width wheels do you want to run?

Do you only want a 2 inch drop or do you want to set the fender a specific height above the tire?

More than an inch or two takes a little more than just springs to make the front suspension work. If you want to change spindles I would recommend the AFX tall front spindles and use a brake package to match. This would lower the car about an inch in the front and really improve the handling to match the new brakes and tires.

Jon, I like the way your car sits as well as the other cars in picture, I do not know how much I need to drop car, I am looking at the Foose legend 17x8-18x8 front, 18x9 rear so I dont think that width will be an issue with fenders, my concern is that when I put on these wheels it will not look right (sit too high), it has 14" stock wheels now and sits high as it is, I cannot figure out how to attatch pictures to this website, I am only familiar with Jpeg format not http:// format, if you can send me your e-mail address I can send you pictures or tell he how to convert from jpeg to http://
