I'd love to see what Calvins Quest or Fusion ports would do for your car. |

YES ! It's an improvement over the normal Pontiac exhaust. Everyone that has used this option has went quicker.

A little know fact is that you can call Rolando at RP Motor sports in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada for a Jesel setup......
As the exclusive VAR (we paid to develop the setup with Jesel) he'll will put together a price for a complete "Jesel setup and have it drop shipped,, give him a call at 905-851-2033..... |

Lots of good info there guys, thanks.
One other question about the rockers is, not running a rocker stud but going with a shaft system. Not the T&D money though. Didnt I see a different brand name that others were saying would fit but would take some work? Phobes? Or something like that... cant recall. Bad69bird, had a all day/all night party I was at yesterday.... sorry I didnt notice you called till about 5am. Shoot me a PM when you want to have me call you back. |

Right now Yella Terra "independant" shaft rockers and the T&D shaft asystem is all that actually fits unless Jesel finally did make them in the last couple weeks.

OK, so the YT is in fact a shaft system? Like Doc's T/A? (aka Bankbook)
I have not been able to find any pictures on the net of the YT's so I could not tell if it was a shaft system That was what I wanted to run but didnt want the T&D price tag is all. |

Mine are the T&D's as in the picture.
The Yella Terra's are half of the price. I do believe that Jessel is now available for the CV1 as well.

Doc, my question here is... are the YT rockers a 'shaft system' like yours or not?
Like I was saying, out of the whole net, I can not find a damn picture of this rocker set anywhere. Every place has 'no image'. Thanks. |

ahhhh, so NOT a shaft system.
So what rocker ratio is used on this head? What works? Any that do NOT work? Anyone used the Scorpion rockers for this head? And finally....does anyone make a lower cost shaft system than T&D? Sorry for all the questions. Just want to know all the options is all. |

I think at this point you should call Jim at Roland Racing (417)209-7395. He will have all of that information. I dont think he would mind the call even if you are "kicking tires" at this point.

Targa,
Look closely at that pic. Those are shafts. The pushrod cup is where you set lash. There is no rocker stud, it's a bolt just like the T&D. Also no pushrod guide plates. Brian |

I guess I was looking for the same type of shaft system.
Yes, I know they have a shaft as do my other roller rockers from way back when. I was just looking for the same system as what Doc has. Like when you have the two rockers next to each other, they shared a shaft. Thats seems more stable than 1 rocker stud to each rocker. Anyway.. now that we have that cleared up...lol. Has anyone used or heard of Scorpion rockers used on this head? A member here offered a set to me at a very reasonable price and was wondering if this was a set to use or just go with the YT rockers. My cam profile will be about .750 minus lash. Thanks. |

Scorpion rockers themselves are a very good rocker. Lots of spring/stud clearance strength etc.. Will they fit I guess is your question. Probably if they are a BBC rocker they will fit. The set I used on the 528 Ford I built didnt seem overly large. Less square than Harland Sharps. I think a call to Scorpion and a call to Jim you should be able to find out dimensions and determine if possible clearance issues. I doubt any but checking first is a good thing.
BTW the Ford was .767 NET lift and I saw no difference from checking springs vs Manley Nextecs. That combo ended up in a 3000 lb stang 8.97 first pass. Last edited by BruceWilkie; 10-18-2010 at 09:41 AM. |
