Best, 11.39 @118, my son's car. 79 T/A w/463, Scat crank, Eagle rods, Icon pistons, Lunati solid roller, 262/270, KRE 325 heads, Northwind intake, QF950 carb, full interior, ps, pdb, th350, and 3.73 gears. Pump gas, 3650 lbs. race weight. 10.68 @ 126 so far... no tuning yet. |

Congrats Ken, good to see you are racing again. Are you getting into power adders again sometime?
Me, I had to skip this racing season due to a broken converter just before the first race. Work has been a little slower at the beginning of the year so the car was on the back burner for a bit. It seams like it's picking up here again though.. I got the converter fixed and the trans rebuilt and the GTO is runnin great now. Too bad fall is coming. Mark.

First round runner up.
Didn't like the way they ran the show. Usually they ladder the cars. If that was the case i woulda had the slowest qualifier as I was #1. But they just held me off to the side till the last car showed in case there were an odd number of cars. First time I ever was involved with a free for all first round Index racing. Oh well if your on your game it shouldn't matter. But every little bit of Luck helps. LOL> With the cool weather The car runs under by about .05 so I knew i had to dump at the other end. Dumped a little to soon and ran a 6.59. If I woulda run a 6.55 I would covered him. Air was cool and needed to lift. Lifted .04 too quick... Oh well, gonna have a 1 5/8" restrict or made and see if that helps. SGMP Heads up this coming weekend for 2 6.50 index deals on the same weekend. One for $1500 on Saturday and $1000 on Sunday. |
