Well, I'm glad that we finally settled that. These photos from the future showing a Pontiac dealership prove that Pontiac IS coming back.

Cool picture Mike , here's one of us around 1979 pulling 350 out of a Lemans to drop it in a Trans Am later on , doing it right on the street using three Timbers and a chain fall. Probably not an OSHA approved method

Another good one. Make due with what you have. If that were my buddies and I,we would have had $10 between all of us,3 packs of Marlboro,a case off beer, and a radio blasting out WLUP.

I did that same thing when I was about 16, on New's Year Day, in a driving snow with my sisters holding the home made wooden structure!! That was on my 64 Impala SS convert.

Three timbers and a chain fall.....before I turned 18 I thought you needed a tractor with a manure loader to pull an engine!

Are you sure that's the man behind the counter?
Here he is circa 1974, Lakeland International Dragstrip, Memphis Tn. Seems to have aged a lot in three years ![]() |

I have a pretty close up photo of the engine in that version of the Rat I could post.
Seemed like a nice guy when I talked to him too. Got a picture of him in a match race against Shirley somewhere. |
