What's missing here?
I figured out this weekend after years of wondering...
Something is missing from my lower door hinge. Anyone have a picture you could post and a part number for this hinge? Thanks guys. Fred

I bought a new, lower driver's side hinge from Ames. The fit was perfect as was the quality. It was identical to the original...

Are these door hinges and springs painted same as body? Or just the hinge?

One warning for you. As far as I could tell when I did mine, the door MUST come off as there is no other way of getting at the bolts etc. All in all, the entire project was quite simple and took less than 30 minutes for remove the door & replace the hinge...

Good to see you today Joe. I was quite sure it was your car as soon as I saw it, but was surprised to see that you drove it all the way down here for a show. Car looked real nice. I meant to get back around to you guys, but it ended up starting to drizzle, and I didn't want to get wet.

The whole mess gets painted body color. Agreed, the door needs to come off. Mark the position of the old hinges with a scribe or paint. Get a buddy,,,the door is heavy. Harbor Freight sells the S-wrench needed to adjust when back on the car. About $12 for a set of the wrenches. Use a HIGH QUALITY Phillips bit and a 5/16" socket on a breaker bar to loosen the screws.....I used a small piece of wood to protect the door frame and partially closed the door on the socket end of the breaker bar to keep the phillips bit planted while I broke the screws loose. Did both hinges on the driver's side door of my '67 convertible, AMES units, and they solved my sag problem and work perfectly.
