Default NHRA pontiac legal head EDL 60587

I have a few questions about the legality of running this head for NHRA Stock Eliminator. I just visited the NHRA web site and this head is listed as an NHRA accepted product. From what I have read of this head it comes with the runners and bowls unfinished. But I have seen where this head has an advertised intake port volume of 215cc. Is this correct or a misprint. I ask because the NHRA tech data specifies that the head have "same runner cc's,chamber cc's valve sizes as head replacing, intake and exhaust". My interpretation is that this head can be used, but if the specs I have read are correct, the ports will have to be filled up to match the correct intake and exhaust port volumes, which are listed as 165ccintake and 162cc exhaust for a Ram air 2 build and 165cc intake and 152cc exhaust for a #16 d port head. I am currently conducting research for a possible 1968 GTO Stock eliminator build. Before I spend any money I want to research and learn as much as I can, I don't want to spend money on parts I can't use. I am not out to set any records, I just want to build a car that can safely run under the index and have a good time racing it. I know that the odds of finding a suitable set of RA2 #96 is pretty slim. I would imagine that it might be easier to just pick up some original#16 d ports and have them built, but I like to know what my options are. Any information appreciated.

That head is legal for Super Stock only. You`ll have to run the correct castings for the horsepower claimed in Stock.
Go to the NHRA website and click on the classification guide and that will show you the Edelbrock head being legal for Super Stock only.

Not sure if it is OK for the RAII I think it is just RAIVs.

Wonder if their new D port head will get certified?? That might shake up some of the SBC that have aftermarket heads legal.
