I have an antique gold car that was owned by my Grandmother. I hated the color when I was a kid but love it now. Guess it grew on me . Any way it seems I never see any gold cars.

We have a gold color '69 that we are restoring right now also. It's in hundred's of pieces. We got ripped off big time by the last restoration shop that was restoring it and we had to take it to another shop all in pieces--frame, body, engine. The place was recommended by three fellow forum members!! The shop it's at now probably won't be starting it until sometime around January 2011. The car was my wife's father's car. He bought it from a local Chevy Dealer in Dec. 1970. Second owner of the car. He signed it over to my wife for her 18th Birthday. We have had it in our pole barn for the last 26 yrs. now.

I only lived a block away from my Grandma and grew up in my 69. Went fishing all the time in the thing. Base motor 4spd. It also has the black cordova top that I also hated as a kid but love it now. The vinyl tops are love or hate. I know Jim Wangers hates them on muscle cars, but to each his own I guess.
