I remember when I could buy Sunoco-94 for a few pennies over $1.00 per gallon and you could still get 89 leaded for under $1.00.....and then the Exxon Valdez was shoved onto the rocks.

1965 - 1966....gas wars in Wichita, KS. You could purchase "Ethyl" for $0.15 - $0.17 a gallon.

If he can only get one pass that works, but if he doesn't get booted I can't see any good reason why someone wouldn't make another pass. Hell, he might even lay down a better number on the second run. Wouldn't that show the 'posses'?

No pass limitations from the posse...the only limitation will be from him or the track.

He's been quiet of late, but he's lurking.

A little up date for the posse...the cage is suppose to be done by next Wed, which is 24. The frame is being notch..so I can get the Diaper in. The side kick on the pan hits the frame on pass side..when I put the diaper on the motor then into the car.. I can't pull the diaper up because its wedge between the pan and frame. He's going to take out and inch that should give me plenty of clearance. No more diaper problems, and now I should be able to pull it down in the back to change the oil. He promise me by the Nov, 24.

Here's a picture of what has to be added for the car to certify for 8.50's. Kevin ( from Atco )told me they could inspect my car and give me a 90 day certification..Maybe I can even get my licence same day. I think this guy is a little high on doing the cage...the black out areas in the picture is whats already there, the white tubing is what he has to add. $1100.00 bucks...I figured $650.00 would be the most...but he's doing it on short notice.

You might as well get the runs in for the license. You need six runs total. Really easy at arent day.
Kevins a good guy at Atco. Real accomodating.

Motor is already to go in as soon as the cage gets done...just have to make up a few brackets...If you look at the first picture on the kick out you can see where it's hitting the frame.

He's a super nice guy..him offering to give me a 90 temporary is nice. Now I can let that mother eat. I think I got the chassis figure out made some changes, the cage guy is going to scale the car from me too. Also gave me a bunch of tips..he's also putting in the stops in the front end. He figures keeping the front end from wheel standing is worth a couple of tenths. I guess we'll find out.

I think it's a little high too. I paid $1500 for everything in your picture, (single rear down bars) in Chromoly.

Looks like it's coming together nicely.
