Finally i got around to installing my New Induction pan .
Stainless steel and 1/2 the price of an repo top pan.
I put in a better system to hold the panel in place (s/steel inserts )
A little more work to finish off
- rubber seal too short
- seal pan from hood with larger rubber capping around edge.
- better heads for the screws ( mushroom top )
Looking at it i could have made it just out of normal sheet metal and painted the same colour.
I should have looked at the s/steel closer should have went for a mirror finish.But i am happy for the first attempt .

Looks good Craig. Never seen that variation on a RA hood.
Stainless steel? Pretty heavy I'll bet?

The sheet weight was about 6-5 kgs before the hole, now would be around 3 kgs .I have had no issues with the hood hinges holding or wanting to pull down fast when closing. So far all thing looking good .

Now i have to see how she goes in wet weather.

I fixed my previous issues with wet weather driving . It was bad earth on the coil causing me to stop when it rained .
I drilled holes in the base of the air cleaner to drain but i will need to see what she does.
On the good news front i found the other day , my new top does not leak under heavy rain ( yippy ).
You need a win every now and then .
