Patty Smyth and Scandal with this great 80's song and video.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_50-gOeBilc

According to wiki, "Goodbye to you" only charted to #69 which I find surprising as I remember that song to be much bigger. It was very popular in the night clubs and a great dance record too.

Also found this pic of her with a GTO! Not sure how old it is but thought was fine to post here anyway as it is related.

Ahhh, Marina Turquiose! Love that color.

Here is documented proof that I am NOT the only one pulling a boatwith my GTO!

Here is Jess Tyree with his '68 Firebird funny car. I am fortunate enough to be the current owner of this rare and historical body. A great addition to my Pontiac Heaven museum.

While I am putting some pictures of battleships on this post ( wink wink ), here is BB56

usswashington.com

BB56 USS Washington was one of the heros of the Guadalcanal campaign as she blasted the jap battleship Kirishima to bits ib the night of Nov 14,1942 in one of the few BB to BB confrontations of WWII. She also has to her credit of sinking the most tonnage of any US battleship and never lost one man during the entire war even though she was among those BB who served the longest time! b Sadly, she was scrapped in '61 but her also famous sister BB55 USS North Carolina lives to this day in Wilmington, NC. Definately worth a visit. I boarded her in '93 and am overdue a return visit.

Pontiacs from the flathead era. I would guess these were made just after the war.

The dreaded AA/Fueler of Keith Black, Don Greer and Don Prudhomme gathered one of the winningest records in Drag racing with something like a 212 to 8 win to loss record in the '62-'63 time frame.

Happily, one of the cars that did beat GBP was the independant Pontiac powered entry ownedby Ernies camera shop in Glendale, Ca. Known as the 'Shudderbug', it was driven my Tommy Ivo and "Wild" Bill Alexander. Bill later bought the car and totalled it at San Fernando. Went as quick as 8.02 at around 191.

About 8 years back, Bills son anda few friends recreated the car using its original engine. Very pretty.
