Eric,
Do you know how to copy and paste?
If so, it's pretty simple. First, you have to have the image saved somewhere on a website...like photobucket.com or flick'r.
You could also have it saved here on PY in your personal album. If you don't have one, create one. It's in your user profile.
Let's say you have a picture saved in your album here on PY. Go to the picture you want to 'imbed' into your post and click on it. You'll see two 'boxes' beneath the photo. One says ''picture url'' and the other says ''bb code''. Left click the 'bb code' one in order to highlight it. Right click the highligted area and left click 'Copy'.

Once you've copied it, now you can enter one of your fascinating posts. Now left click on the page to place your cursor where you want the picture to appear. Right click there. The 'copy' 'paste' box will appear. Left click 'paste'. The url address you just copied from the other page will appear there.
When you enter your post, the photo will show up.

Default 1968 GTO Red Royal Bobcat RA II

1968 GTO Royal Bobcat in the hands of Motion becoming a "TOP CAT"

By the way have you noticed that Royal Pontiac did "NOT" put any decals on the valve covers? You know, like those "BOGUS" ones sold by some "Judge's" something or other, elsewhere on e-bay and Hemmings.

Default The 1968 GTO Bobcat that George Barris painted

I found the article with another red 1968 GTO Bobcat that Motor Trend, by the suggestion of Jim Wangers, had George Barris paint the Bobcat paint scheme on it. The notable diference is the trunk. It was seen in the other article as it was driven away. But here is a closer view.

This car was on the cover of "Car Life" that I posted a page or two earlier before Bobcat paint.

You can see there are at least three red GTO Royal Bobcats. Now picture yourself on Woodward in the early spring time about to face off with a 1968 GTO Royal Bobcat. You beat him, or maybe it was close.

Now it is a few weeks later. Maybe late spring early summer, and you have done some improvements to your car. You know you run stronger. You would never think of checking license plates. But you do remember the Royal license plate frame and Bobcat door emblem. A red GTO Royal Bobcat pull up to light next to on Woodward. You know how close it was last time. This time however the GTO hole shots you and it's tail lights disappear in the distance.

It never occurs to you this was one of the three or four Royal Pontiac 1968 GTO red Bobcats that are constantly having their engines changed with the latest offerings from PMD and Royal Pontiac.

Oh what a fun time it was!

Check the license plates on the cars. There are at least three to four different red GTO's that you can see the plates. Two others are not as clear. Then you have the dark green 1968 GTO too. GM-0275, GM-1496, GA-0448 and the not too clear dealer plates.

Default Brain Ballish and the Royal Judge

Here are some cars that Brain Ballish did leading up to building Jim Wangers "Black Bird".
First the 1969 Royal Bobcat Pontiac Judge. Last paragraph on separate reply.

Actually, even though this car was originally owned by Tony Knieper, who was leading in the points for his class with a "67 Firebird before his untimely death, and the "Super Bird" where the pre-Black Bird. Same suspension set-up, home made traction bars etc. Brian Ballish et. al. set up the the "SuperBird and the "Black Bird". Not to mention the "Royal Mystery Bird" program that was cancelled.

(Go back to the above post's attachments and read about the set up)

Here is a link to Tony Knieper.

Here is another 1968 GTO Test from earlier in model year. There may have been three red GTO Royal Bobcats. 2 four speeds, one with console, chrome tip exhaust and under hood trouble light, the other without these items, and one automatic. Along with a dark green 4 speed.

Royal would always prepair two idential cars and send people like John Politizer, Dave Warren or Billy Schmitz to run against each other. They would make one change on a single car re run the two cars to see if it improved the performance or not. Then they would make the change to the other car to improve it. One change to one car at a time out on Main St.

This is the 4-speed with the console, chrome tips and underhood light. Note no rear quarter panel GTO emblem yet. Early production.

How about a little tech stuff tried at Royal Pontiac first. Tom Nell of Pontiac engineering developed the "quick shift" package before B&M copied it.

Here is Dave Warren show how they do it and installing it in a turbo 400 Bobcat. Appears to be a Lemans on the track with the Royal Bobcat emblem on the door and pin stripes. GTO's did not have P O N T I A C across the rear deck lid.
