I recently acquired some parts that jack had his hands on and there are bog bones on them hahahahaha...Just wondering that the significance is. I am a little superstitious so i told my machinist not to mess with them. He said he liked them, and one thing is for sure, if they fall off then we know we got problems inside hahahahaha

I have no idea what any of you are talking about...

If he continues to campaign a Prostocker, I hope he can get some better engines. I'm sure he gained a lot of experience, the past year or so. He is spoken highly of here, would be nice to see him at least make the field...

Got a email from the head of Bonehead Racing Team..The head porter became known as "motor bone"...The Dogbone signifies "experimental work done by the "Top Secret" man...
It stuck through the years.....
Since I don't want to die I won't reveal the secrets...
Called builders discretion ...

I think his car is for sale.
I hope that is not it for him.
You need millions of $$$$$$$$$ to qualify.

i have never met jack but from my phone experience with him, he has been very pleasant to talk to and very cool about giving out info. I have never spent one dime with him, and i am sure he is very busy all the time with a pro race team, but he treated me like a friend. I wish him all the success in anything he does.

I think he made the field a time or 2. nhra Pro Stock is so competitive that there people with alot ($millions) more money behind them that have not made the field in 4+ years of trying! Pro Stock nhra racing just might be the toughest of any racing to get into the field anytime!!! Any race he is at, I'm rooting for him!

Sorry goquick, I did not post the above quote, it was 77 TRASHCAN a few posts back.

It does take Millions of $$$$$$$$$$$$ to qualify and even then it is still hard to do consistently.

I don't think Jack ever made a field.

I will try not to comment on Jack not qualifying anymore because the last time I tried to explain the reality of NHRA Pro Stock, the truth bothered a lot of people and got me suspended, so it just goes to show that people don't want to know the truth and then when they see it happen never talk about it or say who was right.

My and my son's dream is to race NHRA Pro Stock and try to be competitive so until I win the lottery (BIG LOTTERY) it will be a dream.

Great job Jack and his wife did, I wish I could do it.

Someday I hope!!!!!

Maurice

Pro Stock is sooo stink'n competitive, it's unreal!!! AND probably the most expensive of the pro catagories....

Sorry, I had no intention of throwing gas on a smoldering fire. There are so many factors in the performance of a good/consistant running race car, all the way from T/F to Stock Elim. Chassis tuning is something, a lot of folks don't hear a lot about, and don't know about. Grag Anderson got more competitive the latter half of this season, after he pulled and older chassis out of mothballs, and started running again, probably won him the championship...

I read here that sometime during the season that Jack G. was getting a new engine from Barry Grant (???), I don't think it ran ANY better w/ the new engine. I wonder about Jack's car, it was an old Jim Yates car, I think, and I don't think Jim Yates had much success w/ it either....

Maurice, some things are better left alone..there are reasons for everything....

I just hope Mike Edwards can do a little better this coming year...it seemed like he was losing his HP edge during the year, AND his driving (which he is one of the best) hurt him when he least needed it to...he's either be a fuzz late leaving, or red light. He could have still won the championship, w/ a few little things going his way. I wonder about Mikes car, it is listed as a 2006 Pontiac GXP, I wonder if it's an original 2006 chassis, that's getting a little tired...or what...

Mike Edwards came to the sping Pontiac Event in 2008 and 2009, and maybe more, I can't remember, did not make 2010, the 2010 event was in July and there was a NHRA race that weekend. He was at the Pontaic events, made some practice laps, it was cool...

I talked to him once and e-mailed him several times in 2007. Fist class human being through and through. Like most of you, I would check up on his qualifying efforts every week in hopes he made the show. I really hope he can make the show some day in P/S.

Can he run that chassis/body next year now that Pontiac is gone? Can that car be re-skinned or is it condemned to other classes?
