Default Borg Warner 4 speed?

Hey guys got 79 trans am with a borg Warner and I was just curious how much horse then can stand up to? I put a 455 in it now and I havnt ran it yet but I was just curious if it would be able to stand up to the torque. Maybe in would be better off building a 400 for it but I have been told there bout as strong as m20. Just wanted you're guys input thanks.

The BW in my '79 let loose behind a modified 455 with around 560HP. The trans was under engine load between 2-3 gear when it went away. There was no speedshifting either.
The stock rearend and driveshaft never failed. The rearend however, has a LPW aluminum cover with the studs that preload the carrier caps.
