Default Lowest serial number for 79 recorded

Hey guys I was wondering what the lowest vin recorded for a 79 trans am. Mine that I sold to a good friend of mine was built in the first week of august of 78 I was just curious if there is any other really early cars out there.

It will be hard to beat this one: 2U87W9L100001.
I know, it's a Formula but what a car...it was the west coast promo car for magazine testing.
W72 400 WS6 t roof car. Any Trans Am from Van Nuys had to come after this one.

I have that mag. somewhere, however that VIN is a 301 car. Still cool, the very first '79.

That's right, it was in fact a 301 car. Peter Frey was at the long lead press preview and GM had a number of firebirds there. So it was a Formula 301 two barrel therefore NOT the actual car he test drove for the article. For years I thought it was.

I think The article with car #001 was in HOT ROD magazine
arround 78-79, I'm not sure of the month.

VIN Code W is for the 4-bbl 301.
Y = 2-bbl.
