Txbobcat's 65 frame swap pics
Here's some pics Bob asked me to post for him. I'm not doing the swap, just helping post pics.
New frame. Body off old frame. Under body. Old frame. And here's a pic of Bobs car (pre swap) since I dont think I have ever seen him post one.

Cool car and a neat thread, keep them coming!!!
Gotta love the front frame mounts, still stuck to the body. Seems this area on the 65-66 just goes to hell due to the water and dirt trapping that goes on in that area. Are you modifying thenew frame to avoid this on the new one? Not such a big job when the lift is availabe!! KV |

Last time I saw that car Bob kicked it in onto the off ramp. I'm glad you got it and are taking care of it.

Thanks for posting the pics Danny. The frame was much worse than the pics show. I could stick a finger in a hole and scoot out frame remnanats thay kept flaking off. On the front a few bushings went thru the frame. All is good now doors shut nice and I did have a small buckle in the left quarter panel. When the body went to the new frame the buckle diappeared. I am cuurently in Missouri so John still is holding the car for me. The red oxide is what John wanted to use. Keith we are not doing anything to avoid rust issues here in no rust Texas. None of my cars go out in the rain. We also put in new front springs a frame bushings, frame bushings and a few others. This car will be rolling out a lot more miles than last year. Already have a road trip planned this spring.
