Now that the rear window is done. I did a little more work to the roll bar. I added brackets for the seat braces and seat belts.

No Alvin, the Aero Coupe has been on hold. One of the #197 heads developed an external anti-freeze leak. I sent it out for repair. They have started a cold stitch repair. Hoping they can make it work. The time frame of this repair is unfortunately taking way to long. All of five months so far. I did manage to put the air dam on the 2+2. I'll get it posted on the thread.

It's been a while. But after a couple of years replacing and refixing motor problems, I finally get to take her down the road. There's still a list of things that haven't got done yet. Such as evac system, seat belt, battery disconnect, and hood comes to mind right now. I just tried to download a short road video and couldn't get it to take it. I have been able to send it out e-mail.

Hey Mike, the front spoiler had a plastic support that went basically inside the bottom.
It's hard to see when installed but did provide support at highway speed.
You might want to look into it because the air pushes the spoiler down if not supported in the middle.

I did not know that. I do have another Aero Coupe. I'll see if there is one on that one. Thanks for the info.

Just came across this thread. Theres one of these cars a couple miles down the road from me. May be the original or second owner. I know it has been parked for many years. Paint is finally starting to fail. I had at one time thought about talking to the guy about it but have too many irons in the fire. If I had to guess I would say its one of the "not for sale, im gonna fix it up one of these days". Its sitting along a busy road and im sure im not the only guy to notice it.

Mine didn't have one either but when I had it painted years ago the shop was able to get one from Pontiac.
I still have it and could take a pic if you need one. You can actually lift the center of the spoiler to check it's that flimsy.

Hey Mike, my friend is going full bore now on this I had mentioned to you. Here are some photos. It is now a 400 PONTIAC motor, TKO 600, Grand national rear. Frame off and powder coated. He but 2x2 frame acroos the entire back to stiffen the car up from the t tops. He made it a fold down rear seat.
Check out the shaker he did, hood is sick.

Wow, he's doing it right. I was too chicken to completely disassemble the rear aero parts. I did put a shaker hood scoop on our car. Thanks for the update.

Thanks ! That was one of those little projects. Where I really didn't know what it would look like until I made it. I'm happy with the fit. Weather permitting, we'll test it out at the local track tomorrow.

mrrat1, I had a chance to check my other Aero Coupe today. There is nothing attached to the middle area of the air dam. So when you get a chance could you post that bracket. thanks Mike

I just help him set up the pinion angle. Now driveline is coming out for a rebuilt and detail.

Anyone have a decent front cover let me now. His needs repair and a lot of it. Thanks
