Default 69 GTO CONVERTIBLE TOP FRAME PARTS

Just got a 69 gto convertible in driver condition. Working on the top and drive train prior to painting.

Need to find a drawing/diagram of the convert frame componets, one right side piece is bending and bending the vertical attachement padeye when operating the top just above the quarter window. Need to find parts for the top frame and replace some pieces???

any advice appreciated.

loved the low end torque of this 69 400....

I have a right side frame from a '70 - not sure if all the components are the same though. I have a problem with my '69 also but I found a complete frame and decided to wait 'till I need a new top to swap it in. The problem is most of the joints are riveted together and I figured it was not worth the trouble to dissasemble two frames then try to reassemble one on a finished car. I'll send you some pics of the frames I have if you are interested. Mark O.

pm or email me 'cause I might not see a post here.

all 68-72 GM A body top frames are the same. I've got a pair of the scissor assemblies if you're interested. you can email me at [email protected] They're buried in the basement but I can dig them out for pics if you're interested.

Later,
Dennis
