Hey guys, I'm new to this forum, joined because I was considering picking up a '68 Lemans. I was referred here from the v8buick.com forum, where I have been a member for a few years now.
It includes everything for a manual trans conversion, and I wanted to know what all the manual conversion parts are worth if I sold them as a package. The package would Include- Steering Column Clutch Pedals including Hanger Gas pedal Clutch safety switch Clutch Rod, Z-bar, and all linkages Z-bar mount Firewall plate for the steering column & pushrod Flywheel for a 400, unsure if its the same for other engines Bellhousing Clutch Fork The Transmission, which is an HD 3-speed, includes the hurst shifter, linkages, and Hurst Shift handle. Crossmember Floor hump Gauge cluster Can also include the used clutch & throw out bearing. Last edited by Dstoltenberg; 02-01-2011 at 03:27 PM. |

So then I guess you'd take the 3 speed out of the deal? Hate to spend money on something that wouldn't get used.........

The gauges and the cross-member are not trans specific...
Of course if you sold evrything, cleaned and painted of course, on ebay, you'd probably have 1000.00 to 1200.00 worth of parts there... and alot of time involved and headaches! Realisticly I'd price all of that around 600.00 if you want a quick sale. For someone looking to do a conversion, that would be a good starting point and a fair price. Understand, that 3-speed,shifter and linkage has absolutely NO real value.

That's a Dearborn (Ford) 3 speed, isn't it? Anyway. I'm figuring $750.00 or so.

Steering Column $50- $100
Clutch Pedals $75-$100 Clutch Rod, Z Bar $75-$100 Z Bar Mtg. $25 Firewall Pl. $25 Flywheel $100 Bell Housing $75-$100 Clutch Fork $25-$50 Trans and shifter $50-$100 Hump $25-$50 Could get more if you parted it out on e-bay than selling package. But then that would be more work. If you can get $500 for the package you better take it! I've seen same package except 4 speed muncie go for $1000-$1500 at Pontiac meets but the 4 speed is worth $500-$750 |
