I am not up on 60's big un's, had a 69 Cat, but the mid 60's know nothing.
Anyhow, lately I have walked past a 65 I believe, Black Poncho Bonny style hearse. I need to verify year for sure, but this hearse all there and still with white curtains parked alonside a house. Guy also has a late 60's Caddy hearse, so he is a body hauler freak. It is weird, I'll try to get pic but I don't want to PO dude.... I would put a lift kit and one ton 4WD drivetrain under it.

The 65 Bonnie Hearse is VERY RARE! It would be a Superior hearse and Superior made only about 25 long wheel base Pontiac hearses and about 25 Consort (short wheel base hearses) When you talk about sticking 4WD under it you make us hearse people cringe.

carmak,
Nice 67 Consort! I can see why you miss it. I would trade my M&M Caddy Hearse, my 62 Catalina and my 64 Chevy truck for a NICE 62 long wheel base 62 Bonnie Superior hearse. I've only had my 71 M&M hearse for 13 years and I would be hard pressed to get rid of it. 22+ feet long, seats 3, weighs 6,680 lbs empty and gets 9 mpg but what a blast to drive and take to the car shows. I guess I should add that I also have a casket in the back and in the casket I have a motorized skeleton that sits up and lays back down whichis powered by a 4 RPM Grainger 12V dc motor. It's a hoot to watch peoples reactions. At 57 I'm definately getting older but I refuse to grow up. I can't figure why I've been divorced twice now. LOL |

Actually my wife of nearly 20 years wanted me to keep it. I got hit by the 2008 flood in Iowa and I sold everything I could not store above the hight water line (I had a building with 6+ feet of water in it). It didn't get flooded (I moved it in time) but the stress of it possibly getting flooded caused me to sell a couple cars.
