Here are some .pdf artwork of the blue stripes with gradient (dot fade) pattern, and a couple of pictures of NOS stripes for comparison.

The blue stripe printed proofs will be made in the coming weeks.

First proofs of the blue stripes. Blue color is not right yet, but close. Also, the dot fade in the corners needs to be rounded instead of cornered.

I have a proof set of stripes ready to ship to Norwood next week. I'm going to take a proof set to the 'Run to the Alamo' at Harris Hill Raceway this Saturday Feb. 18 to show them to anyone who would like to take a look.

http://americanstreetcarseries.com/?page_id=207

If you are going on the Run feel free to PM me so I can look for you there.

Then, Monday I'll ship them to Craig for him to check out.

Attached are some pictures of the blue proof next to a NOS stripe.

165th,

I will be there this weekend, but unfortunately without my car. It just arrived in Austin on Monday, but I haven't had time to do much with it yet.

If I can though, I will try to bring the white scoop which was supposedly painted to match the decal sample that you sent to Maine for me. If you have a sample of your white, we can see how close they match.

That's great. Congratulations on getting your car back. I'll have the proof to compare to and maybe we can get some photos of the stripe and shaker together. Also, if you can bring the paint formula or color that was used on the shaker that would be helpful also.

Greg,
Thanks for your work and diligence on the stripes, they are looking great. Strive for Perfection...no regrets.

Those stripes are going to look good covering that hot rod 455HO.

Stay the course.

Jim

I'm looking forward to being able to get a hood stripe for my car. I'd really like to be able to put it on my car as soon as the weather breaks here in the great white north.
The progress looks good and I applaud your efforts to get it right!

Same here. I'd love to get rid of the combo set of inaccurate S$S and PG decals that are on my car. I am ready when you are!

I do have a complete Black and White strip, nose bird, fender and spoiler decals. They look GREAT. Greg is putting in GREAT effort into getting these as correct as possible. He is investing HIS TIME AND $$$$ into this. All of us who own 70-72 T/As need to support him on this. I'm not sure how many of these he needs to sell to break even but lets hope he can. I do not have a date that he will have these ready but I think it will be soon. I think that the custom color stripe will be very cool and open up a whole new avenue for people to personalize their car.

WoW! my Bird lost his Guts!!
You are right Craig, having a Car color or custom striping set should make this a moneymaker if not at least an easy recoupe of investment.

Everyone, recalling the purpose for this thread... I wanted develop a concour quality set of stripes that I would be proud to place on my car upon completion of the restoration. Along the way, many of you were extremely helpful, very generous, enthusiastic and somewhat persuasive, convincing me to produce a complete stripe set with letters to sell as a package. During development of these products, I set a goal to produce the best product on the market, as close to NOS as possible, that could be sold for a price below the current products available on the market.

I have good news and good news!

First the good news:
Black/White Stripe Set: I recently sent a proof set of black/white stripes to Norwood to review the quality, presentation and correctness. This was very scary because I know how he gets when he receives a bad set of stripes But luckily, he is supportive, and as mentioned before, his endorsement mean's a lot to me.

The black and white stripe sets for the Blue Trans Am will be produced in the first couple of weeks of April, and available for sale before the end of April. Yeah! This is a full package, including a nose bird, stripes, Trans Am letters and 455 H.O.

The price will be $378 plus shipping costs.

Now the good news:
Blue/Black gradient Set: The gradient has finally been perfected. The last remaining work is in developing an ink that matches the NOS blue color.

The proofs for the blue stripes should be ready by the end of April. A proof set will be sent to Norwood and NJSteve for review prior to production.

If all goes well, production of the blue stripes should be made in May.

I would like to get an idea who will be interested in the black/white stripes to ensure the production run is adequate. If you think you'd be interested in purchasing a set over the next 6 months, please drop me a note here, or PM or email at [email protected]

Thanks again to everyone who helped with knowledge, insights and sample NOS stripes for this effort!
