Thank you Bob and Mark for the reminder the shaker is Lucy Blue.

The inks have been matched perfectly to the NOS colors. The blue/aqua stripes is dead on. I can't believe they did that.

The white on the black/white stripe is not bright white. It's leaning to, but not quite Cameo white. Of all the different colors of white I looked at, when viewed on the Lucy Blue framed in black it really didn't matter hardly at all. It looks very very nice!

Thank you Mixed Muscle and Mark for your interest. Never too late!

Some have asked for individual pricing, and I will sell them in that manner in order to be as flexible as possible. I will update everyone with individual pricing just as soon as the licensing is done done.

Still looking at selling late the week of May 21 or the week of May 28.

Closer!

What started out as an endeavor to create an individual set of high quality stripes for my Trans Am’s has turned into an opportunity to provide full stripe kits to the Pontiac Nation. The first post on this thread was just over a year ago, which is a testament to how difficult this project was. Of course, looking back on it may makes sense, as during my due diligence, I could not think of a car ever produced that has more surface area covered by decals and stripes! This is probably why it was so important to me to get these right in the first place.

I can also assure you it would not have come to be without everyone’s support on this forum! I have thanked many of you on here before but it needs saying again and again… Thank you for your input, NOS samples, technical advice and encouragement. The stripes are in production with a projected delivery date the week of June 4.

Sales: Starting today I will begin accepting orders for the stripe kits. I created a website to support the sales effort. You can purchase stripe kits by visiting the following website:

www.TransAmStripes.net

When purchasing, if you would please tell me your PY handle in the “Special Instructions” section of the checkout that will help me manage the requests that have been coming in on this thread.

If you are interested in individual stripes there is a link to email me with your specific needs I’ll provide pricing for individual parts with my response.

Please note that orders taken over the next couple of weeks will not be filled until the week of June 4 at the earliest or as late as the week of June 11. If you would prefer to wait until the kits are in hand that will be ok too. I’ll keep everyone posted when the inventory is available. Also keep in mind I tried to balance the production run with the interest, so the total number of kits made is somewhat limited. If you’ve expressed an interest it may be best to purchase now to ensure product from this initial run is available.

Also linked on the website is an opportunity to purchase Rapid Prep and Rapid Tac application fluids. TransAmStripes.net is an authorized distributor of Rapid Tac and I have these products in inventory. I have been using Rapid Tac for application of the proofs, and I highly recommend using it for this one time application of these stripes. Shipping is separate because I will not ship any fluids in the same packaging with the stripes.

After the initial sale of these kits over the next several weeks, Performance Years will take over sales of for the PY members. I’m also coordinating with PY to have a set of stripes available at the upcoming open house June 14 – 16. www.TransAmStripes.net will remain up as well however.

GM Licensing: These stripe kits are GM Licensed! In the last few weeks, production had been held up until there was certainty the kits would be able to be GM Licensed. As you may imagine since this is a seemingly low production item the cost of of licensing per unit sold would have been too great. So, in order to keep the product affordable TransAmStripes.net has teamed up with Stencils and Stripes Unlimited as an authorized distributor of GM Licensed products. Stencils and Stripes will retail these kits as well.

Thank you in advance for your continued interest in these great stripe kits!

Simply AWSOME job Greg.....Your perseverance to bring a GREAT product to market has been second to none. Here is hoping that you may be able to create other GM decals that my be needed for the correct restorations of deserving vehicles.

My order has just been successfully placed! (Thanks Greg for helping me with the website ordering procedure)

NOTE: For those of you using Outllook, the "Buy Now" button does not work when you left click with the mouse.
* You must right click with your mouse, then select "Open link in new window". This will allow you to proceed with your purchase.

I would encourage everyone to get their order placed, in order to show our thanks to Greg for all the work that went into making these excellent stripe kits available.

Regards,
Steve Johns

Sales are starting flow in pretty steadily. Thank you everyone who has ordered so far!

I was hoping to have kits available for next week's DAPA Dallas Southern Nationals but reality has set in, and looks like it'll be the following week of June 11 they will be ready.

Thanks ComancheFirebird for pointing out the tweak needed on the 'Buy Now' button on the website. It seems Internet Explorer doesn't like my buttons Safari, Firefox and other browsing tools seems to work fine. If anyone has problems checking out, feel free to contact me at [email protected]

Thanks again!

Greg:

Nice job buddy! What you have done is way above board. If only the other repop houses would go to the same level of detail that you have, we would have nothing to complain about.

Kudos to you sir!

The website "Buy Now" buttons are fixed and working correctly on Internet Explorer now without having to right click. Yeah!

Thank you Scott for the order!

Thank you Bob and Lloyd for the kudo's. I think this is the hardest thing related to the hobby I've ever done. Even harder than getting a good painter, LOL!

Greg,
I had said that I wanted a set for my blue car back a couple of posts.

Were you going to PM me with a cost and paypal/check address or should I go through the web site you have set up?

Again, thanks for your efforts.

John

Hi Paul, unfortunately the timing hasn't worked out for the trailer wrap for PSN, primarily because of the delay in getting the stripes produced. Now that they are finally in production things are looking up for the wrap. Should have it on by Trans Am Nat's.

I'm hoping to make it to PSN but I've got after hours work scheduled for Thursday/Friday night in Killeen TX and it may spill over into the weekend depending on how things go.

I hope I make it up, and will look y'all up Saturday.

I got the funniest letter today from Stencils & Stripes. It said:

"In the past you had contacted us concerning a decal kit for your Trans Am. At the time we were out, but should you ever be in need of a kit in the future we will have them ready to ship on June 7th. Sincerely, Ralph."

ROTFLMAO!!!

Gee, only four years too late. I wonder who is supplying them to Ralph, now?
