A few questions and comments:
1) I must say,I have never seen a 67 HO,with a column shift. Is the steering column a 67 as the steering wheel isn't? 2) Is the original steering wheel available? 3) What are the date codes for the car build( trim tag),the engine(plus letter designation)? the intake( plus P/N),does the 7270262 carb still have the date coded tag? 4) what rear end is in the car? Safe-T-Track? Thanks Larry B.

Here are some answers:
1. Yes, it's a 70 wheel i believe. Car also has a non correct (square) side view mirror. I have phs docs stating bench seat w/ HO package. Also have build sheet. 2. I dont have the original steering wheel, was like this when i bought it a few years back. 3. I can get you the other codes, but have the carb number here from rebuild notes, it's not the original: 17054905 4. It is a safe-t-track Thanks |

Just out of curiousity, why not just convert the car to a 4-speed? It's not a 100% original car now and a 4-speed bench seat car would be cool IMO...

I was thinking about the conversion yesterday while tinkering around...i love the color combo and know the car, etc...
Originally i was worried about affecting value, mirror and steering wheel easy fix compared to trans conversion...I guess i'll see if there is any interest in next few weeks and make a call. |

Cool???
Maybe....wise???? Absolutely not! Hacking up a rare, numbers-matching HO car is cutting off your nose to spite your face...for sure. I know of one other car with nearly the exact same options. Remember...this was the first year that it was actually feasable to have a fast automatic car...as it is the inaugural year for the famed Turbo 400. Bench seat was lighter...column shift with HO opted engine was the "sleeper of the day" back then. Even the best "Muncie pilot" could not row fast enough to outshift a good Turbo. Tranny would also withstand neutral-drops at five grand...as proven by the ZL-1 and L-88 Camaro guys. Anyway...I digress. JMHO...as usual. Sell it to someone who will appreciate the intrinsic value and buy what you actually want. I would recommend e-Bay on this one!

Relisted with reserve under $19k. Has to be someone out there that is looking for a solid specimen! I'm surprised at how soft the market is right now...anyway I've reset my expectations on price and am open to offers. Thanks

Love it! I was gonna ask if you wanted to trade for my '74 Z28, and finance me the rest. Haha. But, it has a TH400, too... Good luck with the sale. You should be able to get your reserve, EASILY!
