Default Mark VIII Electric Fan into a '65 GTO

I am going to install this fan into my GTO and would like some detailed instructions on how best to wire the thing up.

Please.......... not trying to be nasty.....but I dont want to hear about alternatives.

I guess I'm electrically challenged since I cant find clear instructions in any of the old threads. Hopefully this will include how to put the sensor into the top of the radiator.

I am running a conventional 4-core radiator. I'm prepared to go to a 100 amp alternator as I understand these things will spike to 85A at start up.

Thanks, sounds like a quality built kit.

I see it says: "The sensor is a 3/8 pipe thread block mount type.....". Where/how did you hook up your mounting?

Right into your water crossover on the intake.

Where is the sensor now? Must be in the drivers head between #1 and #3 plug?

Just found a pic of my engine that shows the pickup on the crossover and most of the driver's side head - dont see a spot there. Ground stud is there...............looks like something between #5 and #7 though.

Default 5C Head Pic

Here's a much better pic of a 5C head.

Nothing seems to show a location for a sending unit.

Or for $20 + freight I could go with one of these:

Next to the second spark plug on the vertical portion of the head, marked with a red arrow. That slightly raised place, There is a threaded plug there. That is where the temp sensor is mounted on my 79 TA. remove the plug and mount the fan sensor there.
