Default Cheap radiator or my bad

My car has been down all summer for work and this last Saturday I working on buttoning everything up getting ready to fire it up.

I started filling up the radiator with water and noticed it dripping from where the lower hose attaches to the radiator water neck. After a little bit of looking I found that I had a inch and half stress crack just below the lower water neck.

I'm sure I was putting some force on the hose and neck when trying to work the hose on and off. The tank appeared to be paper thin where that fracture was. The thing is this radiator has less then 1000 miles on it. It was purchased through Classic Industries. I would take a guess and say it was made over seas. So it leaves the question do I chalk it up to a crappy radiator or too much wiggle force?
