Thank you for spotting that. It is a gorgeous part. Unfortunately it's a later model bezel, say '75+ I think. '70~'72 has two windows for the lights and wiper, and no RTS badge.

I have a couple dashs from 73 or 74. I also have the seperated lights wiper insert. Was there a thin silver sliver between the two raised bars?

Hi Wheelie, those are nice bezels. Yes, the '70~'72 has a thin bar between the lights and wiper. The insert you have is for a '70~'72.

I recently heard some information that Ames may have made a repro bezel for a while. Did they make one for the '70~'72?

Still looking.

Yes, Ames had repros of the 70-72 for a short while. They had a sort run of them and they sold out quick. That was a few years ago. If you have your original and the engine turning looks nice, you can strip and re-clear them with a little work. If your engine turning is worn or it is oxidized, send it off to Randy Combs. He does an awesome job with these and is very reasonable.

not sure if you tried, but PY (the host) may have a core being restored. ask for Mike

MikeS @ Performance Years <mikes@performanceyears.com>

even if they do not have it, you can be put on a list or do sales order without payment in case you find one in the meantime
