Finally finished the 68
Well, nothing is ever totally finished but, at least I am driving it and did my first car show. I have more to do on the car such as seat piping etc. Car runs great and I really like the overdrive trans.
Here are a couple photos......

Man, I'm envious. I can almost hear the rumble...How long?
Been chipping away at mine for years...and it's not even a frame-off.

Wow, I needed sunglasses to look at just the pics of the engine bay! The car really looks great, and I bet its a bad-a ride. No, they are never really finished. But you got to call the project done at some point
Congrats for joining the "finished it" club! Walt

Well Greg, it was off the road for 9 years. That includes one year that I took off the project during the body work phase. The body work & paint was the toughest part, well actually, putting on all the trim was a pain also..................

Well, I guess I'm right on schedule. I was planning to send it out for paint in the next month or two....Might still make it but I doubt it.... I just pulled the gas tank yesterday because there's a trunk issue that's just plain bugging me.

Thanks for all the compliments, I appreciate it. It seems like yesterday that I started on it but it was actually 11/2001. I am glad I stuck with it over the years and I can see how one could loose interest when the project is dragged out over a long period. Time and money dictate how long a project takes...............

I'm curious about those black circular caps at each end of dashboard. It looks like ventilator openings. Custom pieces? Scratch built? Inquiring minds want to know. Oh yeah, beautiful car and love the Hurst dual gate shifter.

Beautiful job . I like the gage panel matching the dash. Very clean look.
Have fun driving it now . PS. You might want to put a nice cover over the wire terminal on the firewall. I had one like that once and a piece of aluminum foil blew into the compartment and shorted it out. Almost caught my car on fire.
