Hi guys! I know its been a while since I posted...life has been busy. I'm not going to defend Ron. Not my job. I also dont have any stake in his business as I've stated before. In fact, since I sold my headers to help him keep things moving, I am in the same boat you guys are...waiting for a set.

I honestly understand your frustration, as I also understand his. What I know from my most recent convos with him is that he has 15 sets almost complete. 10 of those were to go toward old orders, and 5 were getting sold to help cover the cost of sending those other 10 to get coated. Problem is, he has only sold a couple of those sets. So things arent moving as fast as he again had hoped. The coater he has local to him only gave him a decent price if he brings in a whole batch at a time......so its not like he can really do a couple of sets, then a couple of more.

Again, I am not defending him. Just passing along what information I have from him. So don't kill the messenger.

Truthfully at this point he is so frustrated trying to get this all over and done with that he's not posting period. His thoughts on this are............when they get done I will send them. Period.

One final note: Ron has NOT disappeared. He has been getting SOME headers out over the summer (ask Ken Crocie, who has been so frustrated the only note he put here when he got his headers was, "Nessie showed up today"). He is close to (I believe) making good on his goal to have all old ordered sets done by end of summer. Notice I said close......I realize Labor Day is over.

I wish he lived nearby. I'd drop in and give him a hand. As I've said before I got into this trying to help you guys out AND to try and prevent a great resource from disappearing. In the process I have become friends with Ron. We dont always see eye to eye on details, but thats life.

This has become his obsession. He isnt likely to ever make a fortune with headers, but he does make a good header. All I can say is.........its not what anyone expected when they ordered.........but I'm hoping theres a better ending in sight.

Again.............if anyone wants to order a NEW set (which will help Ron send the other headers to the coaters) I will step in and guarantee the delivery of your headers. Like this: You let me know what you need and pay Ron for the headers, Ron gives us a shipping date (usually within 10 days now, 14 at the most), and if they dont ship by that date I WILL REFUND YOUR MONEY MYSELF. I can only do this on non-coated headers in the types and sizes he has already made. No extras like tabs, etc. Straight orders with parts he has in stock. If theres any question what those are, contact me. PLEASE CONTACT ME FIRST IF YOU WANT TO USE ME AS A GUARANTOR.

I'm really trying my best to help keep things moving for everyone, including myself. I'm looking forward to getting mine

Default Would just like to hear something

I would like to hear something, even if it is more BS about when they are coming? When I am ignored I get angry. Just a note to say I am sorry, coming soon, something. No one asked me if I wanted mine coated? Yes if that will speed up this process! Does anyone know anything about my headers? Ron's business will never grow if he continues to drag his customers thru this crazy process. You cannot rob Peter to pay Paul, that isn't how business works, cause eventually you'll have no Peters left rob and then what?
Hopefully my headers will show up and I can go on with my life. I have a cell phone number for Ron that doesn't work, he only replies to new business emails, so how do we get hold of him? Anyone have his address for a letter?

Daan......the stainless headers are just on hold for the moment. As I've mentioned before it often takes more time when starting something new to work out the bugs. I told this to Ron when he started talking about a couple of weeks for pricing, etc. I'm not going to go out on a limb and say when they will be coming. But they will be coming. He has many of the materials already.

David.....hey how are you? He has NOT forgotten you. Your name comes up frequently when I talk to him, and he's thankful for your patience. I dont have a timetable yet to give you though.....just as I dont know when I'll be getting mine yet either. Sigh......please hang in there a little longer...

Geronimo.....I dont have an address to give you, or an email, or anything. I contact him and wait for him to call me back. I 100% understand your frustration. And crustysarge......and......well, you get the idea. I'm not Ron. I dont ask him.....hey Ron, why dont you answer emails? I'm not his father, and I'm not his wife. So I stay out of his business in that regard. I have told him before that even a quick.....HEY, I'M STILL STUCK IN THE SAME PLACE BUT HAVENT FORGOTTEN YOU......is better than silence. But again, I'm not the one running the show.

Would I order from him again? Yes. Do I know that he isnt always good on delivering a promised timeframe? Yes. Do I believe he means well? Yes. He is not trying to trick anyone or rip them off and disappear with their cash.

Does he have a good product? Hell yes.

Default Thanks Aron

Well I hope Ron either gets the headers done in a timely manner or refunds those who want their $$ back so they can get their projects rolling. It isn't faito make people wait indefinitley without some sort of timeline. Is it that hard for people to be honest?--if you send me your hard earned cash, you may have to wait x amount of months or years to get your headers. How many people would have agreed to that? I just want my headers or cash. This is not complicated. Contract law is very simple. These headers may be the best in the world, but it does me no good to be waiting and waiting and waiting for a set. I told Ron I must have them by a specific date and he said it would be no problem. I will get my headers or $$ as God as my witness. Hopefully it will thru common carrier and soon.

For along time I wanted to order a set but with all the delays I just couldn't bring myself to do it. When aronhk_md stepped in with the guaranteed delivery I figured I'd take a chance. At most it would have been a small deposit that would have got lost. But everything went as planned and my headers arrived as promised. As said before without people placing new orders (which are getting delivered) the old orders simply can't be made. Headers do fit great, now to get the rest of the car done

Well, yesterday is the one year anniversary of my money being gone. And still no headers. I received an email from Ron on 10/27/10 stating my headers were ready but I never received anything and my emails now go unanswered.

When I placed my order last year, it was suppose to help people get headers who paid in 2005. Now a year later, I found out the only way I will get my headers (which I paid for) is if someone else to place a new order?

A couple of weeks ago, we had good news from RAV girl that headers would be done soon and everyone who paid would receive them. Any updates?

Not sure if people are receiving headers yet? anyone receive a set lately?

I was about 3 weeks ahead of you. No headers and no response. Ron was real quick to answer phone calls and emails until he had my money.

455grin & 76LQ9TA..........again, not trying to defend Ron. He should have stayed in contact with all of you, good news or bad news. Last Oct was the time when Ron Clark AKA Tin Tiger came on the scene to supposedly help Ron Watt, and things went bad pretty soon after with their business deal. He ended up almost broke again after that, and had to move....start over. Again, no excuses, just reiterating whats been said here. I can only imagine the sinking feeling in your gut and the anger you must feel when you think of the cash and the time.

After talking to him recently he is supposed to be getting ALL the old orders out very soon. I HOPE thats the case......and you get your headers very soon. Again, I hope so for many reasons........................only one is because my headers will be built after.

Ironically, back in April and May, new orders were being processed and filled with just a few weeks "turn around".

Just sayin'......

They still are Larry. If someone wants to order a set I can guarantee delivery in 2 weeks or less as I said a few posts back. But thats just to keep the electricity on. When it comes to old orders he has to dredge up the cash for coating in a large batch and shipping, etc. Someone mentioned robbing Peter to pay Paul. Well, it IS kind of like that. But I give Ron credit for not just running away after losing people's money in a business attempt. He is here trying to make ends meet while at the same time get it done. He may not have met the promises he made regarding timetables, but one by one or 15 at a time he plans to get it done. Ask Ken Crocie. I think he was as surprised as anyone when "Nessie" showed up. Gearbanger too. And Ron has poured every resource he himself had into it. Still is.

Timetable promises and no communication as many have noted is a key to discontent here. I cant argue with everyone who has grumbled about both. The product is good. I wouldnt be sticking MY neck out if I didnt believe that Ron MEANS well. I am not making a penny doing it.

1. I DO NOT WANT this valuable pontiac resource to dry up and disappear. I'm hoping Ron can get it all done and get on his feet. For any street car, and many racecars, in my opinion there is NO other header for a pontiac. The hell with banging tubes on the pavement and taking a hammer to them to make them fit.

2. I guess I would just like to see a happy ending in general. Its bad these guys laid out thousands of $$$ and got nothing back. It sucks that Ron poured everything he had into this and has yet to succeed. I'm crossing my fingers for EVERYONE. This economy blows, and I really wonder if it will be better in my lifetime.

3. I have made friends from this. Ron, Don, David, Chris and others...... Hell, I SOLD MY NEW TRI-Y headers since I wasnt ready to bolt them on, and handed the money back to Ron KNOWING I was going to the back of the list again. I did it for all the reasons listed here.

I'm not sitting here biting my nails, but I AM waiting to hopefully hear good news for everyone.

PS - Those guys are right.....the orders back at the end of last yr were supposed to do the same thing the orders now are doing......facilitate the delivery of OLD orders. Meaning from 2005. In the fiasco that came from his attempt to do business with Ron Clark AKA Tin Tiger, Ron Watt came very close to folding AGAIN. That was at the end of last yr. In the process, the orders taken at the end of 2010 BECAME essentially OLD orders, instead of allowing old orders to flow out the door. The money from those orders was spent to stay afloat instead of building the next set. Is that RIGHT? Is it WRONG? It sure as hell sounds wrong. I know though that through that whole time Ron Watts whole goal was to survive, AND build every set of headers he had taken money for. It is what it is, and I dont know that I would have been able to do any differently if I were in Ron's shoes.

But thats the past................right now its Sept 2011 and I am hoping............................................ ...............

And for any that think I'm a cheerleader? Damn right. I cheer every time someone gets a set of headers, new order or old. But especially the old. And I'm going to keep at it until you can buy Tribal Tube headers directly from Ron Watt's website. Just dont expect me to get into one of those outfits.............the pro football cheerleaders look much better in them

Got home today and no headers. I hope it will happen next week. It will be twelve weeks, twelve weeks, three months, 480 man hours next Tuesday since I was told I would getting mine next; MAAAAN! time flys! Twelve is better than thirteen, but not as good as eleven. Since I didn't want coating and I supplied my own 3" ball and socket collectors, I should see mine the quickest. Hint, hint, say no more. It will be awesome when I see that big cardboard box next week. Got to get back to restoring my Ford.

We have seen many things engineered since 2005 for Pontiac's. Some of which are aluminum engine blocks, all kinds of aftermarket heads including at least two that have developed canted valves, bolt on fuel injection systems, complete forged rotating assemblies. Headers somehow don't compare.

When I finally get my headers, I might even put a pair laser cut and etched tags on them. Free advertising.

If coating is a hang up why not just sell everything un-coated ?
Anyone that has been waiting for months or years would you care if you lost the money on the coating at this point and got your headers quicker ?

Coating is from what I hear locally about 200-250 a set...
I ordered mine un-coated fwiw...

Just thoughts....

Something I thought about while reading all of this, as any business grows you need to look at costs and charges. Maybe it's time for a price increase? I know potential buyers don't want to hear this but if you charge an extra $25-$50 per new set that will help cover the costs of the earlier sets that apparently aren't being made?

A price increase could happen. It has come up in discussions with Ron. Expenses in general continue to rise. Its just our incomes that dont...lol. As of THIS moment the prices havent changed, so if you are on the fence about buying you might want to take advantage of my guarantee and buy now.

The coating decisions are made by Ron. I already recommended he drop coating for the moment since his coater seems to have a monopoly in his area and its not a simple part of the equation. But the decision is his.
