I ran 15" honeycombs as winter wheels (with snow tires) on my 80 WS6 TTA back when it was new & as I recall,I just used the Cal Custom 1/2" aluminum spacers from Pep Boys

Put on YearOne's 17" x 9" Honeys, solve the space problem and be able to put on grippy rubber!

Yup, used 2 1990 Camaro wheel spacers,( 3/16 each) so it was 3/8 inch per side. I changed the studs to Dorman #610-157.1 All looks good now.

thanks, I used my 72 formula as a test vehicle and once I got it right I ordered the same springs for the 73.
I cut one coil off the new front springs and had new rear springs set to 4.5” height (the bow of the spring)

Still working on the stance, it needs a half inch (more) drop in the front. I already lowered it 3? inches from when I got it, and probably 5 in the rear! Will get around to painting it one of these days when I stop driving it all the time...

After finding out the gears in this..350's. I tested mine tonight ( sort of a stock looking, and an attempt for at least 12 mpg!@) I was doing 1700 at 70 mph, locked up, in 4th. Oddly enough the 89 TTA trannys also lock up in 3rd, which was odd at first. .67 OD, 3.42 rear. 225/70/15 tires

Here are some pictures of my 70 Formula 400 and my brother's 69 Chevelle at this year's Hot August Nights in Reno, NV. A prior owner painted the car the light blue that you see here. The car is originally a Verdoro Green color which is not that common on 70 Firebirds. At least I haven't seen many with that color.
