how many miles are on that car? anyway to enlarge the phs? my bad eyes wont focus on it.
interesting on the wheels i cant remember what window stickers say on one with snowflake wheels, i do know the tires have been replaced. so if it came with the turbo wheels, i wander if they were originally white or natural color??? my guess they wouldnt have been white as the only car to get the 8" white turbo wheels would have been the 80 pace car.

Car is currently on E-Bay, and it's from one of those "museum" types of places, which is a red flag right there (also known as "Volo-Clone" disease), but I was wondering about the wheels. I thought the Turbo Wheels were on the 10th Anniversary only in 79. Very strange window sticker on this car, but it could be a forgery.

I can't read the PHS doc entirely, but there doesn't appear to be anything about "wheels" on it.

That IS strange, Mike.

As yourself, I was always under the impression that in 1979 those wheels were standard and only available on the 10th Anniversary cars.

turbine wheels were only for TATA cars in 1979. These were added. Noticed the guy made the PHS docs 72 dpi and real small. You can't enlarge them.

Despite being "original" the catalytic converter has been removed, so the entire car is suspect for originality ;-)

The sticker is easily obtained. I see no reason to fake it. Just because they were std wheels on a TATA, doesnt mean they were not available to a knowing dealer on a regular TA. I will say they were probably not white, but I like them white on that car.. I owned a nearly identical car, but came with the 8" snowflakes with blue inset paint to match the scheme.

They weren't from the factory in 79. Available only on the 10th Anniversary TA. All others with the WS6 package got the 15x8" Snowflakes. The Turbo rims had to have been obtained from a dealer and installed, or swapped out from a TATA. Factory would not install them and send it out on anything else. 80 was the first year to get them from the factory on the Turbo TAs.

I asked the dealer I bought my 79 Formula from if they could get the TATA Turbo rims for me and he said no.... 10th Anniv TA only. They said they couldn't even get them for their inventory unless one from a TATA was damaged and exchanged for a new one.

Paperwork has to be fake too.
