the right stuff.
has anyone here used that silicone for sealing the timing cover?
i pulled my motor yesterday before i went home from work, in order to take this long weekend to do the job of resealing it (326). thanks in advance. 63 vert |

It will work just fine. I like to use ultra grey myself. I have all parts clean & dry, run a small bead on the cover & bolt it up while wet & let it sit overnight before putting back in use.

My whole motor on both cars is sealed up with it. Works great. Never a leak. It's a bitch cleaning up though when you have to take it apart.

keith , hooter, thanks for your input.
today i was lucky enough to get the rear main out with out pulling the crank loose. sunday i will be installing the pan and then popping the motor back into the car. |
