I think Tom and Sharon have had the 58, since about 1980. and the 59, since around 2000 (I think that's when I started seeing it.

I'm glad Tom has nothing to do w/ computers....

For the record - My observation was simply noting that a 1958 Pontiac Drag Car with a female driver reminds me of The only other Female driven 1958 Pontiac Drag Car that I am aware of, which happens to be the one Driven and Owned by Mrs. Sharon Wilhite - period. Absolutely nothing negative about the Wilhites was intended or inferred on my part. I have attended events where they have showed and raced their Unique To Me 1958 & 59 Pontiacs and have always been impressed with the fit, finish and performance of their cars.

IMO: Any other comments regarding the 1958 Pontiac Drag Car with a female driver were taken out of context, making something out of nothing, which unfortunately seems to becoming way too often an occurrence on this board.

Let’s resume The Vintage Picture Posting!

The side of the Foss's '58 says "Belleville, O". Anybody know if that was Belleville, Ontario, Canada? Or is there also a Belleville, Ohio?

Love this one....taken in Feb '65 out here, rego sticker has a 10 for October on it, so maybe been on the road for 4 or 5 months. What a car, towing a caravan and dragging its tail....probably quicker than most things on the road out here at the time even with the load! Oh, it was a tripower too...the pic was in an old aussie magazine from 1989 and the (then) current owner of it replied in a following issue that it had survived.
No idea of its whereabouts now though.

Taken January 1967...a just converted '66 convertible sits out the front of the Sydney converters shop. This car moved to Melbourne (and got painted electric blue) at some point and I remember seeing it regularly at a local servo in the early to mid 80's. I remember it was a 4 speed and BBC repowered. I thought it was a tripower car too, but just read it was a 4bbl with 3.90 rear. Not sure now.

Nice link. In the 2nd photo from the top, what model Hurst car is behind that 300? I'm assuming Chrysler brand but the body line almost looks early 70's Nova?
