Default need 68 firebird hood latch bar/handle

hello all! i'm sure someone has a hood latch bar/handle for a 68 firebird laying around. i need one to replace my dangling chain (how embarassing is that!). condition not important, will blast and powdercoat anyway. send my your info! thanx.

i know the latches are different, but don't know about the bars. can anyone confirm?

sure do. i have the latch, just missing the 'L' shaped bar that hangs down.

I have the "L" shaped brace that the GM parts book describes as "support, hood latch". It bolts to the bottom of the latch mechanism at one end and the other to the vertical support below the horn.
There's only five major pieces to the assembly:
top plate
hood latch assembly
vertical support
latch brace
horn
