Thats a great price for an original 4 cyl, 4 bbl, power steering car!!! Looks to be in pretty decent shape. Any rust in the rockers or floorboards?? Even has the original jack in the tire well! Very hard item to find! Your car Dave??? If so, how long have you had it?

It belongs to dad. He's had it for a few weeks. I haven't looked it over that well but it does have some rust. I don't think it's nearly as bad as a typical Ohio car but like I said, I haven't looked it over that hard. That's why I posted dad's phone number. He can tell you a lot more about it than I can.

I'm starting to question the year also. The intake is dated Kxx0. And the VIN says 161P1xxx...wouldn't it be "161P2"? The title says it's a 62 and it has a 62 nose. ????????

If the vin is a 161P, its a 61 model year. #1 is Tempest, 61 is the year & P is for built in Pontiac. If it was a 62, the vin would read 162P. Probably was in a fender bender at one time & got a 62 front clip put on. One way to check for sure, does the throttle pedal hang off of & go through the firewall?? Or does it pivot at the floor & go through the floor with a mechanical linkage going from the throttle back to the trans?? IF its through the firewall, its a 62, If its through the floor, its a 61.

Have to check the linkage....don't know right now. Wonder why the title says 62. Maybe a typo at some point.

I looked close at the engine pics. It is a 61 model year. The throttle linkage is from the bottom. Gas pedal linkage does not come through the firewall. 61 Tempest wagon with a 62 clip on it.

Best thing to do is call the number (937-882-1329) and talk to Dad. He's probably negotiable.

Look forward to meeting you and showing you the collection. You'll have to ask Dad to see his parts collection. You might want to give yourself some time to go through it. See you then.
