I fail to see what is so sad about killing a violent criminal.

Cool Well...

just that the taking of a human life is NOT an inconsequential act. Unfortunately...she has to bear that cross. Hopefully...the circumstances will allow for her to come to terms with it in her own mind. Don't get me wrong...as this was the best possible outcome for this scenario...but I'm sure she wishes she was never put into this situation. I feel for her. That's all. Yes...the scumbag got his and won't be a blight on society any longer. Yet she suffers the consequenses. Not fair. Wish the cops could have been there to do their job. Even they require councelling after such an incident. Ron

They had a piece about this on the news last night, she didn't look to upset, and the police called it justifiable, no charges! She said she would do it again to protect her baby. Good for her! The 911 operator told her to do what she had to do.

I mean sad as in the situation she was put in, more so since her husband just passed. The criminals however I could care less.

I think she'll be fine.

Unless you live with a cop, they can't be everywhere...ergo, her situation proved that a firearm in hand is a good thing to have when the cops are just minutes away.

^5 for her,,,,, if criminals know that entering a home = getting shot to death they will look to other means less risky to grab what is not theirs.... I salute the local police for not doing something foolish and charging her for killing the scum bag...
As to the comment above about dusting the fool and mental consequences,,,, I think the girl should have a first charge against all assets the scum bag has (if any & his partner too....)
I agree it is a real shame this poor little thing has to endure yet another possible hardship in the way of any mental stress.... It sure sounds like this kid has suffer a real run of bad fortune during holiday season,, I really do feel for her as well....
