Default 50th Anniversary of the Pontiac Tempest - Norwalk, OH

The 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Pontiac Tempest continues in Norwalk with the 62 model year!
The Little Indians have decided to continue the celebration and hope to attract more Tempests than last year! We still are working on some of the details and will update the flyer as they are finalized.
The Friday night BBQ was a huge success and we plan to have another one!
Save the date and plan on being there with your 61-63 Tempest/Lemans in any condition it’s in!!

I should be there with mine.
All the fabrication work is done.
Going to start build on the motor next.
I am way ahead of the game this year
Had a blast there last year this year will
be even more fun having my own car there.

I plan on being there racing and taking in the sites as usual. Of all the car events and racing each year NORWALK is over the top for me-the wife-the dog. Probably won't have both cars there like last year. Just the 63 coupe-421sd street car-11:40s @ 117 mph BE THERE OR BE SQUARE

Little Indians negotiated a group rate for the Super 8 in Milan, OH. This is the same hotel we were at last year, plenty of trailer parking and very accomodating to our needs. Close to everything. When calling, ask for the "Little Indians Group Rate"
Rate applies to Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

Rooms will start filling up fast, do not delay, make your reservations today!

That is the problem we have here. There are three from Manteca that could make it if it were closer.

I was under the assumption from a flyer we received that the 50th anniversary was in St. Charles , Illinois? Id this a seperate event? We were thrilled to do that trip versus the Ohio. Much prefer Oklahoma , Kansas or Texas, but Illinois was better for some of us west coast guys.

Scott,,, St. Charles is a POCI event. The Tempest reunion is in Norwalk Ohio. Here is the info page from the Little Indians.

http://www.littleindians.com/events/?event_id=10

This is year 2 of a 3 year reunion. Last year there were 48 61-63 Tempest's on hand.

Ah, thank you for the clarification , Keith.

I was getting confused. So many Pontiac events, so little time.

Default Norwalk Room Reserved

We have our room reserved at the Milan Super 8 under the "Little Indians Group Rate" for the Pontiac Nationals. Motel staff was very accomodating and made the reservation process customer friendly. Thanks to the LI chapter for setting up the block of rooms and and getting a group rate on the price. Also will have a swap space for selling 63 Tempest/ Lemans parts. We had a great time last year meeting other Tempest owners from all over the country, and seeing their great cars. There are rooms left, but get yours before they are all booked.
