Tim, Frank here I must say this is one of the BEST resto jobs Ive seen yet. From what this car was to what it has become is just remarkable. And the history behind this car is second to none. Super Job for this "" SUPERDUTY "".

Have you raced it since restoring it? After all, that's what a Swiss Cheese SD Catalina is for!

Rob...

Looks awesome BTW.

Were all Swiss Cheese cars hardtops? Seems like a post car would be less flexible with the frame being compromised like it is.

My mom bought her '79 LeMans Safari from there. It always tickles me to know they were sponsoring racers when cars were cool.

Wow, Five Star Job, ThorpesCorvettes!

Thanks for sharing pics.

Do you have any related stories / anecdotes worth sharing as the car came back into its current state?

misterp266, I also thought there were a couple of 2311 swiss cheese frame cars.

Ever count the holes??

How much welding went into the frame to make it right?

The altered looks pretty scary

What a beautiful restoration, deserves to be in Tim's Place.

Beautiful trailer queen.

Got the perfect home for it right here in Tulsa. It's a quarter mile strip of blacktop and concrete. Plus you won't have to worry about it collecting dust. lol
