Default I want to Run my rebuilt 61 389 on a test Stand

Dear Members,

I will be ready to fire up my rebuilt 61 Bonneville Engine within the next two weeks. I would like to run it on a test stand however, as you are aware the starter mounts onto the transmission and the flywheel/flex plate is part of the fluid/torous coupler for the hydramatic. Does anyone know if their is anything available to adapt to my engine that gives me the ability to fire up the engine on a test stand. I thought about bolting up the transmission however, I did not want to go through the hassel of filling it with fluid and hooking up cooling lines.

Sincerely gmil60

Maybe you could borrow a stick bellhousing or an adaptor plate from someone who lives nearby?
Not sure what other options you may have other than bolting the automatic or building an adaptor plate.

Dear Steve,
Thanks for the suggestion. If anyone has a Bell Housing and a neutral balanced flywheel they want to sell please contact me. Thanks again for your help.
Regards Gerry
