120/80 ,nurse just left the house. I had to get checked out for my new life insurance policy.
About 12 years ago while going through a divorce it was about 200/105 as I remember. My Dr. was freaking out. I told him to wait till the divorce is over before starting me on anything. It seems to stay JUST low enough to keep me off of meds since then.

Also a word of caution, make sure that the readings are done correctly, especially those who show high readings and are on meds. My friend was put on meds, and it turned out the cuffs that were used to take the reading on the sphygmomanometer were too small and always showing high readings.

Mine was 146/100 last week. Im on meds for it but may have been elevated because I was in a lot of pain at the time. Up until then its been 130/80 or there abouts. Which is quite a bit lower than it was before I started taking meds for it. I think every male on my fathers side has had high blood pressure. My great uncle died because of it many years ago.

Hmm, I checked mine with a long sleeve flannel on. Last week I got a 142/82 and then a 136/?. The reading before I got there was high from the last person. And I again had a shirt on and my arm doesn't really fit well in the cuff in those things as it is. I think it's still elevated though. Sometimes I hear ringing.

I don't know if the shirt affects it or not,but..
I had a nurse taking mine and she took it 3 times over a 20-30 minute period. The 3 readings as I remember them were 128/88 126/84 120/80. She said they take it 3 times because many times it drops after the first reading. Because of my past high readings I know I always psych myself out when getting my pressure taken. Then the added pressure of knowing I might get rejected for insurance if it is too high. On many trips to the Dr. in the past I know they have taken my BP 2 or 3 times for this same reason. As I remember it always dropped after the 1st reading.

Seems obvious to me that a person with thick fatty skin will dampen the vein/artery expansion contraction, when compared to a thin-skinned, boney fella.

So I wonder if the BP method has a correction factor for %body fat?

130/95, the lower seems to go up and down between 100 - 89. Pulse 70 - 45. Went into the infamous wall, burnt out the doctors called it, about 2 years ago. Probably been banging my head against that wall for quite a while without knowing it.
