Default new project 1991 TA

Hi,
well we got it home 1991 TA with a 400Chev auto .
i have a couple of questions that we can see issues with.
the exhaust manifolds ( shorties ) are only 1 1/2 inch primary will that be ok with the Chev .they glow red hot now
what do we change over too if we what larger primaries ?( brand )
will that be an issue for HP later if we leave them on?
does anyone know what he flow rate would be on a 1 1/2 primary

we also notice the tires hit on full lock ( stock ) is this normal ?

Sounds like you have a few issues with your new project.
Is this carbed or still FI ? TPI? TBI?
Headers glowing, start with setting the timing. checking fuel PSI, and vac leaks.
I would run no less than 1 3/4 headers.
Do a search for Dyno Don on thirdgen.org. He makes a very nice set of short tube headers and Y pipe thats a bolt in.
On some cars the tires do rub the inner plastic liner. Make sure the wheels are on the correct end. Stock 16" wheels have 2 fronts and 2 rears. They are all marked on the back side.
If they hit badly check for frame or collision damage.
