I am far from a Tempest expert, but I don't remember a Tempest/Lemans 3x2 option until the '64 GTO. Of course, I don't remember what I had for breakfast this morning either.

This 63 4dr may very well be worth 8 grand, but will he (original owner) ever get it? Not the first time we've seen it.

I think that car has some rust in it. Still, not a bad ride. There's another one in ABQ needing resto. Looks very solid.

I know this car. A buddy of mine used to own it and sold it about 5 years ago. I also saw it this past September at a car show and it was for sale then too. It needs help as it has deteriorated. I'm going to forward the ad to my buddy and get his reaction.

http://portland.craigslist.org/clc/cto/4405717541.html

63 Pontiac Lemans Convertible, its a project, good solid car, 336ci big block, 2speed power glide.
Car has rope shaft and four wheel independant suspension. Was last driven 10 years ago, ran good
but the motor needs to be freshened, paint was put on at that time to preserve body, car has been covered or inside, paint needs some work too. Comes with many new parts, billet electronic dist, disc brake mounts, power brake conversion, power steering conversion, tail light lens, front turn lens, carpet kit, window felts and seals, keyed locks and ignition and many other misc. parts. Have complete original interior, its tired but all there. Needs new top, alternator, battery and a lot of love.

Asking $6500.00 503-314-0903

Awesome this thread is now a Sticky.
The Portland Swap Meet is now in full swing this weekend and this car could possibly be there. If it was me trying to sell it, I would display it there.

Poncho_Villa, I left my number for the guy with the blue vert in Idaho that didn't meet the reserve on eBay and he called me. He wanted $3700 for it but couldn't give me much information other than he said the engine number didn't match the VIN. I passed. Might still be available if anyone wants it.

Good deal for a 62 wagon...

http://albuquerque.craigslist.org/cto/4384808472.html

I have 1 1962 Pontiac Tempest Station Wagon. Has the following Slant4 engine with rebuilt cylinder head and hardened valve seats, new timing chain, new fuel pump, rebuilt carb, new 205/70/15 series Goodyear tires, brand new exhaust system, new front seat, rebuilt generator, car also comes with extra tailgate and rear glass, also include all the hard to find trim pieces exclusive for this wagon, she runs and drives, lights and turn signals work as do the wipers, there is some rust on the fenders but not bad.
If you see the add its still for sale I do not text, e-mail or phone is best. $3000.00 obo

The blue vert is back. Guess the other guy who was coming by didn't want it either.

He claims it's a 4 speed again. And when he said it wasn't the original engine, he neglected to say that the valve covers said "thunderbird."
