By the way- this is a private forum. This is not the steps to the County Courthouse, or the walk in front of the State Legislature where you have FREE POLITICAL SPEECH. Here, they can delete or block anyone. Go try protesting consumerism in a shopping mall and find out. You are here, like me- as a guest who is kindly ALLOWED here. Your lawyer would know that. There is no constitutional right from moderator. Just thought I would clear that up. I hope that they should NOT block you or ban you because I enjoy diverse views and people saying what they want, but confusing it with a political speech issue and implying a constitutional protection is not realistic or to be expected. I can take impoliteness or rudeness any day. I give as good as I get in person and online.

One thing I do hate though is "cars for sale" in the "parts for sale" thread and v-v.

what i want is the artifical inflation of part prices to cease and the people who list parts like the pulleys for $15 each then picked up by a parts flipper and he is going to list them for $30 each this is bull**** those parts should have gone to some 16 yr old trying to restore his first car a gto.

Back to the dustributor. I guess you paid $700 fot it because you needef it and the guy you sold it to needed it also so you sold it to him. Or you at least had $700 invested by means of the purchase price you paid plus parts and time you put into it or labor and parts you paid someone else. You then sold it at an uninflated price to another guy.

i sold it to wrea3 bill rea and then he flipped it for $1000 and i helped him locate a xx 7028273 carb that he did not even thank me for. and i found out that he is a shop owner and just does restorations for people i only sell to people putting their own cars together and all the restore shops mark up every part and take advantage of the unknowlegeable people that want to restore their cars. this gives the industry a very bad reputation.

i was going to use it on my 1969judge but it was way too early date i bought it as a core and had ignition engineering restore then i sent it to wrea3 i made $40 bucks for my time and then he flipped it. the shipping to and from ignition engineering. was the $40 bucks.

i get the appraisal for perfect cars overspray is just like the 1960's painted bolts are painted non painted bolts are not painted and the paint is correct for the body tag codes all the numbers match and the body paint is the paint from the 1960's not the new paints i don't do a half as5ers. who get bronze or silver or gold my cars are perfect 100% and original parts and thats why my 1969 judge took 20 years to complete. the appraisal is correct when the appraiser saw my cars he was stunned. this is me protecting my investments. p.s. it's saint pattys day and time to rage the only way I rage is with a raging kegger party and thats what i'm doing today after this post. bye i will talk to you guys tomorrow please keep posting comments i want everyone on PY to comment on this.

We had to close topic down for a bit while we all got up to speed on this topic as we take any accusations seriously no matter how ridiculous the appear. B-man was and is still out of the country but just checked in and as expected, he simply moved the topic to the 'sold' section. Ole 'young' Dodger is just a tad bit paranoid.

We've had the same moderating staff for quite a few years now and while we may occasionally get a little trigger happy if you catch us in a bad mood, our track record on integrity speaks for itself. It's just really sad that I have to take the time to defend one of our best assets on these forums because of a disturbed individual.

And in case anyone is actually wondering, Dodger was not suspended for ranting and raving, but for having more than one user name, and B-man wasn't the one pulling the trigger.

I qualify as old. I don't think that guy is going to get old if he doesn't get some help soon.

B-man does a great job moderating the classifieds which is pretty much a thankless job. Maybe a pm sent to him instead of blasting away w/both barrels on the forums here would be a better approach.
Isnt that the truth. You couldnt pay most people to do the job that moderators do on a forum this size.

Its a bunch of work just reviewing the posts, not counting the other work that has to be done...plus a barage of PMs I know they must get and deal with.

Maybe its time to reconize all the mods for the years of volunteer work that been done...

MOD APPRECIATION WEEK.... or something?

Just my 2 cents...I've gotten parts from members here that gave me fantastic deals on stuff I probably would never have found in my limited travels. Not once have I met anyone here that was interested in making a quick buck. Quite the opposite. I've made some great friends and contacts on this site that have helped me get my car up to speed and given me fair or even more than fair deals on parts I needed. Sure...some stuff you have to pay a pretty penny for, but the folks I've met here were more interested in helping me get my car up to snuff than taking me to the bank. There are scammers out there. I'd say if you want to pay inflated prices for something, then try searching Ebay. THAT'S where the rippers and flippers are because that's where the fools that want to be parted from their cash are. I think Dodger should point his vitriol at Ebay as a matter of fact. Far more meaningful. No one's ever screwed me over here.
