Thanks for the pictures. Those look like what my dad described that he remembered, but nothing like the replacements that we ordered from a catalog. We want to be sure we get it right. Can anyone else verify the correct shape and placement of these splash shields?

I believe the previous pictures show an incorrect installation.. The splash shields I believe were attached from the inside of the fender well, or perhaps the installation varied by plant or year. (more likely plant).
I just happened to take pictures recently for my 1969 judge before I sent the wheel wells out for sandblasting. This is guaranteed factory original 1969 judge - framingham built.

From what I have previously read, they were placed on both the inner or outer of the wheel well depending on plant. In addition, the staple direction also varied.

I fogot to take pictures of mine before I blasted the inner fenders, but will take a look at the splash seals and see if I can figure out how they where placed.
I also had a lower splash shield on mine, does any one have a picture of them ? |

Finally this post is getting some traction.
These latest pictures sort of explain where the splash shields that I have go, but I am still unclear about the shape and placement of the upper ones by the upper control arms. I am quite surprised that there is not more on this subject in the search engine.

Either Ames or PY tech advised me that they quit using the splash guards early in the 71 model year. That if my inner fenders didn't have holes then my car came without. Based on that advice I didn't order any splash guards, and won't be installing any....

Well, It looks like we have figured out where the aft splash shields go, but now that the car is assembled, I dont think we can get them in. It really irritates me that a classic car restoration shop that has charged us $65,000 in body work and labor, and is supposed to be one of the best in the Salt Lake Valley, didnt let us know that these splash shields needed to be installed before assembly! I could go on and on but this is not the place for my rant.
Thanks for the pictures, they sure helped to get things figured out. Also, Dad would have sworn there were no aft splash shields on his car, but low and behold, the staple holes are there.
