Default How to find numbers?

I need to verify matching numbers on a 78 Trans Am SE. I am new to this, so I am not sure where to look. Can someone tell me what I am looking for to verify matching numbers on this car?

Partial VIN is stamped on front pass.side of block below cyl.head.

You MAY need to look from underneath, the font is quite small.
