JESUS CHRIST. Can you comprehend ANYTHING?
TRY to follow along. I SAID he's asking 19K too much. MEANING I would offer him 30K CASH ON THE SPOT. If he'd take it I'd buy it, If not I would let him KEEP IT.
I guess YOU THINK you have to pay sticker price for a car on a dealers lot and can't offer anything less.
Car soup has NON around here(vettes) of ANY YEAR listed for under 11K even for the mid 70s turds. Would i pay that for those? NO. I MIGHT pay 5K for a 76-79 or 6-7K for a 85-90, BUT NOT 11k.
Private parties TRY to get as much as a dealer is asking and if they CAN get it, Good for them, But I wouldn't give some schmuck selling his car in the front yard as much as a dealer was asking for the same car. A dealer wouldn't give over mid-30s TOPS trade in for that car.and then put it on the lot for 45 or more.

Then what you should have said is he asking $19k more than you would pay for it...

At any rate I would rather buy one from that smuck selling HIS car in his front yard than a dealer that bought a car at auction and knows absolutely nothing about it. The back story and history of a car is as important as anything. Ever buy a used car from a dealer that came with all the original documentation and service records? No....know why? That is stuff that can't explain so even if it comes with the car when they get it they throw it away.

That's what saying "he's asking 19K too much" is. Or do you need me to draw you a picture in crayon?

Sleepy, have you ever been in a c6 z06, If not you don't have a clue. where else can you buy a mid eleven second 120 plus mph in the quarter mile, 27 mpg drive anywhere supercar with all creature comforts, for 40 thousand dollars. they are by far the best buy on the market! a loaded 07 z06 listed for over 70 thousand dollars!

It's not like they only made 100 of them. An Escalade lists for 60-70K but it looses 10K by signing the papers JUST LIKE any other American mass produced car.
This guy said he just doesn't drive it any more, BS. With 12,000 miles on a 5 year old car, he never drove the thing in the first place. He needs the money or he'd trade it on a newer one or another car. NOT just sell it outright. He's trying to get what the dealer would want for it rather than what the dealer is willing to give,30 or so K.
BTW. My 90 is 12.5 second 100mph 26 mpg so 20 years later and a bigger motor only gets you 1 second 20mph and 1mpg more from your "factory Monster" I'm NOT impressed.

OMG your utter stupidity amazes me....

But I have to ask...are you claiming your 90 L98 Vette runs a 12.5 1/4 stock?????

Try low 14s.

Didn't say it was factory stock and about 200 people at Rock Falls saw me do it.
And even IF the L98 is a 14 second car it wasn't the "performance" vette of that year, The ZR1 was. and not nearly 70k.
The extra you pay for the ZO6 over the standard vette isn't worth it for what you get. At the same price for either I'd take the ZO6 but i wouldn't pay much more for one over a standard vette.

I don't over pay for toys.
I DIDN'T pay 1 million for a house that was really worth 200K. so i don't owe more than what it's worth and NOT getting thrown out by the bank.
I DIDN'T pay 50k for a pickup that was really worth 30K.
I DIDN'T pay 150K each for the 18 semi's I own when they were only worth 110K.
I don't pay drivers $30 an hour when they are only worth $18.
And I didn't pay 12K for my vette when it was only worth 7K.
THAT is why when I decide to "retire" I'm not going to rely on SS to live on, Begging politicians to give me a "raise" so I don't have to eat dog food and live in a box under a bridge like most of the people bitching about the government not taking care of them and giving tax cuts to "the rich".
Why would you need 600+HP in a car you can only legally drive 70MPH with??
Or do you WANT to loose your licence?

MSRP for a 1990 Corvette ZR-1 was $58,995, almost twice the cost of a non ZR-1.

Sleepy: I'd hate to sell you anything and I'd hate to work for you.

Why. Because I refuse to pay too much for things i don't NEED but want?
Because I believe your pay should reflect what you're worth? I didn't say all my drivers are paid the same. I said I wouldn't pay $30 an hour for one who was only worth 18.

Sleepy, go offer $30K for it and see if he bites or if they call you names.
